What is the FIC ?

Security and privacy by design

And if the security and protection of personal data were natively embedded in the technologies we use daily?

A real "business" requirement, a new legal imperative with the RGPD, "by design" raises many challenges. And first of all a psychological challenge: to admit that a system can not be totally secure and that it will therefore be necessary to design a "dynamic" security to take into account the evolution of the threat.

A technical challenge, of course: to protect and defend every link in the chain, that is nearly 20 billion connected objects in 2020, covering the entire life cycle of these products, from their design to their withdrawal, through their exploitation and their maintenance in safety conditions.

A human challenge, too: to educate, train and train today the profiles we will need tomorrow. A financial challenge, finally: reconcile the requirements of "time to market" with the design of secure architecture, by definition longer and costly to implement, but certainly less expensive than a massive product recall ...

You think security is expensive, try non-security!

The international cybersecurity forum is a platform aiming at promoting a pan-european vision of cybersecurity as well as to strengthen the fight against cybercrime. In order to do so, the FIC relies on :
  • The trade show, to share knowledge and ideas, recruit new employees and maintain contacts
  • The forum, to discuss and debate with experts, to gather ideas and to share professional lessons
  • The Observatory, to continue exchanging views and information after the FIC, to explore topics in greater depth and to consolidate our network of experts and like minded throughout the year

  • TO OPEN UP THE CYBERSECURITY DEBATE by bringing together digital transformation players, risk management specialists, security experts, architects, developers, lawyers…
  • TO SPEED-UP the development of a European Cybersecurity Market.
  • TO PROMOTE innovation in the service of digital trust
  • TO FOSTER a holistic approach of cybersecurity to support organizations in their digital transformation.
  • TO PROMOTE a combined « top down » and « bottom-up » up approach to cybersecurity
  • TO CREATE SYNERGIES between the different ecosystems by building bridges between the private and public sectors, between industry and the academia, and between roles and « trades ».
